Robert Pattinson's Weight Battle

Robert Pattinson said staying slim is "torture" for him.

The 'Twilight Saga: New Moon' actor - who plays vampire Edward Cullen in the film franchise - put himself on a strict diet ahead of filming topless scenes for the movie and says he hated having to eat healthily.

He said: "I didn't eat anything for a week before that scene. I just kept to very healthy food and nothing naughty at all. It was torture."

Despite his strict regime, the actor was still dissatisfied with the results when he saw the finished movie.

He added: "I've seen that part of the movie now and I suppose from the front it looks alright but from the side it's a different story."

The 23-year-old star recently admitted he is still uncomfortable with the attention he receives from women.

He explained: "It's kind of weird to get all this attention. It feels surreal. Honestly, when I auditioned for the part, I was so sure I didn't have a chance of getting the role. I'm so surprised the way things turned out."
