Robert Pattinson: Will Taking Kristen Back Affect His Career?
Liberty Ross and Sanders have reportedly already begun counselling in a bid to save their marriage, though they have two young children to think about. Things are a little different for Pattinson and Stewart. Putting genuine love aside, Pattinson has no real obligation to stick with the American actress as far as engagement, marriage or children go. With millions of female fans across the globe, and plenty of admirers in Hollywood, it's hard to believe that the British actor would be stuck for attention should he begin living the single life. Entering a key period of his career, the actor is blatantly trying to shake off his 'Twilight' image and he won rave reviews for his performance in David Cronenberg's 'Cosmopolis' when the movie premiered at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year. In the public's eyes, Pattinson can do no wrong, and the cheating scandal has only cemented his status as one of Hollywood's nice guys (who's been harshly treated by the villainous Stewart). Should he take the actress back, he would certainly face a backlash from his adoring fans: the question is, would Pattinson be better off alone, in terms of his career? He has a couple of interesting projects coming up, most notably Australian drama 'The Rover', a near-future Western set in the desert. He will also star in the thriller 'Mission: Blacklist', based on the true story of Army interrogator Eric Maddox, who was involved in the capture of notorious Iraqi ruler Saddam Hussein.
It's likely that studio bosses involved with the final Twilight movie will be keeping their fingers crossed that Pattinson and Stewart reunite. The pair will have to promote the film later this year, and would be far more effective together, rather than attending separate premieres to avoid awkwardness.
