According to OK Magazine, the pair swapped phone numbers through a mutual friend with Rihanna sending the Twilight actor a series of "supportive" texts following his split from Stewart. The insider dished, "She got Rob's phone number from a mutual friend and has been sending him sexy, funny texts to cheer him up. At first, Rob thought someone Punk'd him. Eventually Rihanna convinced him she was for real, but Rob has been resisting her". The pair have met each other briefly, though Rihanna has apparently harboured a crush on the actor for years, with the source adding, "RiRi thinks he's very cute, but nothing ever came of it because he was attached to Kristen - and it's not her style to steal someone else's man". Pattinson has no plans to hang out with another women just yet, despite his friend encouraging him to do just that. It seems Rihanna is attempting to give Rob a taste of her party lifestyle to help him through his breakup, "Rihanna would love to meet up with him and Rob's friends keep telling him he has to start enjoying life again. What better person to help cheer him up than Rihanna?", added the insider.

Tabloids reports this week suggest Pattinson is looking to sell the Los Angeles home he shared with Kristen Stewart. During a recent interview with Jimmy Kimmell, the actor joked that he was "homeless".
