Robert Pattinson - Robert Pattinson Talks Life After Twilight
Robert Pattinson, the British actor and star of the 'Twilight' franchise, has expressed his desire to appear in more 'action' movies after his time on the vampire series comes to an end. Robert Pattinson, who is currently starring in the circus-themed flick 'Water for Elephants', says he's keen to take on some edgier roles, reports the Press Association.
Pattinson stars alongside Reese Witherspoon in the new drama movie that entered the U.S. box office at number two over the weekend. Last year, he starred alongside Emilie De Ravin in the romantic-drama 'Remember Me' and recently completed filming the movie 'Bel Ami', which chronicles a young man's rise to power in Paris via his manipulation of wealthy women. The 24-year-old says it's now time to take on some tougher roles, saying, "I like the idea of working with little kids and working with animals because it is always unpredictable and always fresh, but I also want to do a movie where I shoot a butt-load of people". Although not an action movie, Pattinson recently signed on to star in David Cronenberg's highly anticipated 'Cosmopolis. The film follows the story of a multimillionaire's 24-hour odyssey across Manhattan and is based on the award winning novel by Don Delillo.
Robert Pattinson's new movie 'Water For Elephants' was beaten to the box-office number-one spot by the animated movie 'Rio' over the Easter weekend. The film is scheduled for release in the UK on 4th May 2011. The actor is expected to attend the London premiere on 3rd May 2011.
