Robert Pattinson On Fifty Shades Of Grey: I'd Lick The Pages

Fifty Shades of Grey - this year's literary sensation - has started a fierce debate, not only over his erotic content, but also about the actors and actresses who will star in the planned Hollywood adaptation. Robert Pattinson was briefly linked with the lead role of Mr Christian Grey himself, and spoke about the risque read during his appearance at Comic-Con this week.

When quizzed, he and girlfriend Kristen Stewart remained silent on whether or not they've been reading E.L James bestseller. However, when MTV's Josh Horowitz pushed Pattinson on what he'd do if he had the book in front of him, the British actor bizarrely replied, "I would just sit there and lick the pages". After falling about with laughter, the actor asked, "What are we live on?", realizing his silly response would probably gain attention. When Stewart was asked whether she reads the novel in a book club with Pattinson and fellow Twilight actor Taylor Lautner, she simply replied, "That would be disgusting".

Both Pattinson and Stewart have been linked with the lead roles in the movie adaptation of 'Fifty Shades of Grey', though it remains unlikely that the actor will be cast, with RYAN GOLSING, Michael Fassbender and Ian Somerhalder thought to be ahead in the pecking order. The possibility of Stewart playing Anastasia Steele is slightly more of a possibility, though Emma Watson, Mila Kunis and Scarlett Johansson have also been linked with the role.
