Robert Downey Jr. has bought the film rights to episode of Charlie Brooker's 'Black Mirror'.
The 'Iron Man 3' actor will produce a feature-length film based on a 2011 episode of the satirical anthology series titled 'The Entire History of You'.
The futuristic episode centred on a man who has an implant that provides him the ability to record and relive moments of his life, but it soon has dire consequences when he obsessively begins suspecting his wife of having an affair.
'Peep Show' writer Jesse Armstrong, who penned the episode for Charlie Brooker's series, will write a script for the film which is thought to be slightly different than the TV version. The film will instead centre on a man who uses his implanted technology to reconstruct moments shared with his dead wife.
Warner Bros. are expected to produce the film, while Robert is thought to have fought off competition from fellow Hollywood A-lister George Clooney for the rights to the script.
'Wrath of the Titans' actor Toby Kebbell played the lead role in the TV drama which aired on Channel 4 in 2011.
