Robert Downey Jr Injured On Iron Man 3 Set
The film's director, Shane Black, who has worked with Downey Jr. before on Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, will be keen to get back on track with production. The film is set to hit cinemas on May 3, 2013, and it is unknown whether the accident will cause a delay to the release date. With the recent success of The Dark Knight Rises and anticipation high for the 2013 release of the new Superman movie, Man Of Steel, Iron Man won't want to lose face amongst his superhero counterparts.
The third instalment of the Iron Man trilogy sees another all-star cast, with Sir Ben Kinglsey and Guy Pearce performing alongside Downey Jr, and the film's lead man is keen to make three the magic number. Although the injury isn't said to be serious, he will be keen to get back into production and focus his attention on the Avengers, as it was announced last week that the sequel would see the return of Downey Jr. as Tony Stark.
