Robbie Williams - Robbie 'Wins' Worst Album For Rudebox

Troubled pop star ROBBIE WILLIAMS has been slammed by the record-buying public, after it became clear his 2006 album RUDEBOX is most likely to win the Worst Album 'prize' at tonight's NME awards.

Robbie, who is currently in rehab following an addiction to prescription drugs and various other stimulants, will even receive the gong at his US retreat, according to reports in the Mirror.

The paper claims the public have voted Robbie's album as the worst record of last year "by a mile", with the dubious honour being posted to the former TAKE THAT singer in America.

NME editor Conor McNicholas told the paper: "Readers have been clamouring to elect Robbie's RUDEBOX as their Worst Album. He's not having a good time of it."

Other stars up for the most unwanted award of the night include LILY ALLEN, THE FEELING, MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE and NME's favourite target RAZORLIGHT, who have taken something of a bashing from the magazine for some reason.

The band, fronted by JOHNNY BORRELL, have been nominated for Worst Band and lead singer Johnny is up for Worst Dressed and Villain of the Year.
