Robbie Williams To Perform At Jubilee Concert

Robbie Williams will perform at Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee concert.

The 'Angels' hitmaker is ''excited and honoured'' to join the line-up for the show - which is being organised by his Take That bandmate Gary Barlow - alongside stars including Sir Paul McCartney, Sir Elton John, Sir Tom Jones and Sir Cliff Richard.

Robbie - who lives in Los Angeles with pregnant wife Ayda Field - joked: ''I am excited to be in London for the celebrations and honoured to be part of this line-up.

''If this doesn't get me a knighthood, nothing will. I can't wait for the show.''

Robbie's addition to the concert - which will take place outside Buckingham Palace on June 4- has delighted organisers because of his universal appeal.

A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: ''Getting Robbie is a major catch for the concert - he's a huge star and massively popular with fans of all ages.

''This show is going to be the centrepiece of the Queen's celebrations, and Robbie is a proper showman.''

Other acts performing at the concert - which will be broadcast live on BBC1 and BBC Radio 2 - include JLS, Ed Sheeran and Dame Shirley Bassey.
