Robbie Williams Not Into His Recent Releases

Robbie Williams has admitted that he's not been fully engaged with his recent album releases, and insists that his new record will be right, reports the Bbc.

Speaking to journalists at the GQ Men Of The Year Awards, the Take That singer admitted some truths about his musical status. "I didn't bother touring the last one, I wasn't into it that much," he said. "I want to impress on people that I'm fully in with this one. I want to dominate the charts. I want to take on the world. I want to be a top pop star. I'm re-energised and it's called Take The Crown for that reason." Take The Crown will be Robbie's 9th studio album, and represents a change in method for the 38-year old, having "found the right balance of medication," after coming "full circle".

Robbie's busy: a new album in the offing and a baby on the way. "She's in my image, a mini-Robbie. I'm excited but in truth I'm s****ing myself," he explained when asked about his impending fatherhood. To accompany his new release, the singer has revealed a set of intimate gigs; he will play headline shows at Leeds Academy, Glasgow Barrowlands and Southend Cliffs Pavilion this month. With 60 million records sold in an impressive solo career, Robbie is hoping this new release won't fade into ignominy. "I found the right levels and I thought, 'this is it. Go and take on the pop charts," he declared. Take The Crown will be available on November 5th 2012.
