Robbie Williams Has Eye On Knighthood After Royal Concert
The Take That singer will perform solo at the show at London's Buckingham Palace on 4 June (12), which is being held to mark the British monarch's 60-year reign.
Angels hitmaker Williams joins a host of knighted music stars on the bill, including Sir Paul MCCartney, Sir Elton John, Sir Tom Jones and Sir Cliff Richard - and he's hoping his appearance alongside them will prompt the monarch to bestow the same honour upon him.
He says, "I am excited to be in London for the celebrations and honoured to be part of this line-up. If this doesn't get me a knighthood, nothing will!"
A spokesperson for the concert organisers says, "Getting Robbie is a major catch. He's a huge star and massively popular with fans aged six to 60, and beyond."
