Robbie Williams - Robbie Williams fires back at Liam Gallagher

Robbie Williams has fired back at Liam Gallagher mocking his new album.

The 'Angels' hitmaker has lashed out after the Beady Eye singer recently branded him a ''fat idiot'' not worthy of playing stadium shows and insisted the former Oasis rocker's insults are better than his music.

He told The Sun newspaper: ''[His] interviews are better than his records at the minute. I really enjoy the interviews.

''Liam is like an episode of [satirical comedy] 'Star Stories'.''

Robbie, 39, drew the singer's rage because of Liam's jealousy over his four performances at Manchester City's Etihad Stadium this week.

He has also insisted Beady Eye's new record 'BE' would be ''f***ing amazing if [the songs] had a chorus.''

He added: ''The production is really good. There are a couple of tunes that would have been f***ing amazing if they had a chorus.

'' 'Flick of the Finger', nearly a great a tune. 'Start Anew', if that had a chorus, but there is no chorus.''

The singer has had a 20-year rivalry with Liam when - after his brother Noel famously branded Robbie ''that fat dancer from Take That'' - he sent a wreath to Oasis after hearing their panned 2000 album 'Standing On The Shoulder of Giants' prompting Liam to say he was going to ''break his f***ing nose''.

Now, Robbie has claimed the Beady Eye front man could do with getting his brother back on board to save his music career.

He said: ''They are missing The General. I've heard 'Second Bite of the Apple', I don't know why nobody said anything.

''When you listen to [the songs on the album] you think 'Please put a chorus in - it will be brilliant'.

''They are not going to have a character brave enough to tell Liam that.''
