Rob Lowe - Rob Lowe Was On Flight With Terrorists
Rob Lowe has revealed he was on the same flight as the terrorists who attacked US citizens on September 11, 2001, during their dry run.
Rob Lowe was on the same flight as the 9/11 terrorists on their dry run before they made their attacks.
The 47-year-old actor has revealed he travelled on the same airplane as the bombers on their practice trip before they made the same flight crash into the Pentagon 11 days later on September 11, 2001.
He explained how he had been working on TV show 'The West Wing' in Washington DC and often travelled on the same route the attackers used to kill 184 people by targeting the headquarters of the United States Department of Defense.
Rob said: "I flew with the 9/11 hijackers on the dry run, without realising.
"I was working on the West Wing in DC at the time and I always took . the flight that leaves Dulles that they eventually put into the Pentagon."
Rob was shocked to learn 18 months after taking the flight that his life was in danger, when he received a letter from the attorney general's office in Maryland explaining he was on the list to be deposed for one of the terrorist's defence.
During an appearance on TV show 'The View', he said: "I thought, 'This has to be an April Fool's joke. Even just telling the story, it almost feels like it didn't happen to me. I'm just grateful that I wasn't one of the so many Americans who suffered."
Thinking back to the day when he was he was on the plane with the bombers he remembers it was the same as any other flight.
He said: "It was 11 days before 9/11, I made the flight a lot and I didn't think anything of it. I got on the plane and it was packed.
"Nobody looked scary, nobody looked like a terrorist. It looked like an absolutely normal flight . then 9/11 happened."
Rob visited a fire station at Ground Zero in New York City on Monday (02.05.11) after the death of Osama Bin Laden - who was responsible for organising the September 11 attacks, which also targeted the World Trade Centre - was announced.
