Rob Lowe - Rob Lowe Not Replacing Charlie Sheen Says Producer
Rob Lowe is not replacing Charlie Sheen on 'Two and a Half Men', according to 'Parks and Recreation' executive producer Mike Schur.
Rob Lowe, the American actor who recently emerged as the frontrunner to replace troubled actor Charlie Sheen on the hit sitcom 'Two and a Half Men', will not be leaving his role on 'Parks and Recreation', according to his producer.Speaking to Zap2It.com, Mike Schur made it clear that Lowe was going nowhere, saying, "That's what we in the television business call nonsense. Rob is a full-time cast member, he's on the show for a number of more years, and that's the end of the story. Sorry I can't be juicier than that". Schur went on to blame the Internet for setting the rumour "on fire" and said he is "extremely optimistic" that Lowe will sign on for the new season of the show. Lowe was given the blessing of Sheen himself earlier this week during a radio interview on K-Earth 101. The 45-year-old said, "He's a buddy of mine, he's a beautiful man, a brilliant actor, and I hope he does it and kicks its ass because I still get paid".
Rob Lowe is the latest in a long list of names mentioned as possible replacements for Sheen. Others have included the Hollywood actor Matt Dillon and 'Full House' star JOHN STAMOS.
