Ringo Raises Beatles Flag

RINGO STARR thrilled THE BEATLES fans by hoisting the only Fab Four flag high above Los Angeles' Capitol Records building on Tuesday (06Nov07). The ceremony was held to mark the release of the limited edition Help! DVD boxed set, and now the flag will fly high above Hollywood for the next 10 days. The flag, which bears the artwork of The Beatles' 1965 movie, will then be sold to the highest bidder at an upcoming eBay.com auction, which will benefit The Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy Foundation. The buyer of the flag will also receive a certificate of authenticity personally signed by Starr, and a limited edition Help! boxed set. The upcoming charity auction's top bidder and a guest will enjoy a special VIP tour of world-famous Abbey Road Studios while on holiday in London.
