RIHANNA hasn't heard from her dad RONALD FENTY in 18 months - despite claims he has been trying to contact his superstar daughter.
The Bajan beauty has thanked dad Ronald Fenty on the sleeve of her new Rated R album - but she doesn't expect to speak to him any time soon because they fell out when he showed up drunk at one of her concerts last year (08).
She says, "He has too much pride (to get in contact). It's almost like we play opposite roles - I'm the adult and he's the stubborn teenage boy."
But Rihanna insists her mother, Monica, gives her the strength to deal with her absent dad, adding, "Luckily my mom raised me with enough qualities to take on something like that. She is the least judgemental person.
"My whole life she has always been there guiding me but she was never too hands-on. She was just there by my side making sure I didn't make the wrong decision."
A month after news of Rihanna's bust-up with R&B singer Chris Brown broke in February (09), Ronald told the press he feared the Umbrella star's handlers had cut her off from her family after he failed to get in touch.
