The Grammy Award winner also reportedly told his former flame that they would "get back together one day". In case you missed the television interview, Rihanna broke down in tears while speaking about the notorious assault, though told Oprah, "I still love him.I think he was the love of my life. He was the first love and I see that he loved me the same way. We were very young and very spontaneous".

The interview divided public relations experts, with one A-list publicist telling the Huffington Post, "I can't believe her team would allow her to do this interview.Rihanna's brand is all about powerful girls - ladies who get what they want and don't need a man to complete them. If Rihanna honestly believes what she told Oprah, then it changes everything that we thought she represented". However, Amy Rosenblum, who runs media training company Media Masters, thought the interview was a great idea, saying, "Doing the interview with Oprah was the right choice.
