Richie Sambora - Richie Sambora Goes Incognito For Charity Show
Rocker Richie Sambora helped to raise $10,000 (£6,250) for charity recently by performing an impromptu show in New York in disguise.
The Bon Jovi star teamed up with bosses at Tv network Cbs and went undercover to busk for tips for the MusiCares foundation, which aids musicians in times of need, setting himself up in Chelsea Market, where the guitarist played an a cappella set wearing a raincoat, scarf, trilby and sunglasses.
After performing a couple of songs, he stood up and told the gathered crowd, "I don't know if any of you know, but I'm Richie Sambora. I can take this disguise off now...", much to fans' delight.
He then invited MusiCares client, saxophonist Alvin Flyte, to join him for a rendition of Bon Jovi classic Livin' on a Prayer.
After his busking stint, Sambora said, "I've been involved in MusiCares now for a long, long time... I think it's important for me to give back. I think my parents raised me right... I think that if you can help somebody, why not? Make a positive change."
Sambora has since posted video footage of the incognito performance on his website.
