Richie Blames Drug Addiction On Boredom
Socialite Nicole Richie cites boredom and having "so much, so fast" as the reasons she became a drug addict.
The 26-year-old, who is four months pregnant with rocker boyfriend Joel Madden's child, insists her wild partying, drug-taking days are behind her and now all she wants to be is a responsible mother.
Richie, a former heroin addict, says, "I got so much, so fast that nothing really excited me anymore. I kind of took matters into my own hands and was creating drama in a very dangerous way.
"I think I was just bored, and I had seen everything - especially when you're young, you just want more."
