Reynold Goes Green With New Superhero Role
Ryan Reynolds has beaten off competition from Justin Timberlake and Bradley Cooper to play superhero the GREEN LANTERN, according to industry reports.
Reynolds, fast becoming an action-hero following roles in the Blade trilogy and X-Men Origins: Wolverine, has been chosen to take on the comic creation, reports Daily Variety.
The Green Lantern tells the tale of a group of protagonists who can control the physical world with an all-powerful ring.
It will be the first time an actor has appeared in films by rival comic giants DC and Marvel.
