Retired Mpaa President Valenti Suffers A Stroke28 March 2007
The 85-year-old movie industry heavyweight is said to be "under a doctor's care" and "resting comfortably" at Baltimore, Maryland's Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Valenti led the MPAA for 38 years and was the organisation's president and chief executive officer until his resignation in 2004.
The co-founder of advertising and press agency Weekley + Valenti, he was partly responsible for handling the press during US President JOHN F. KENNEDY's ill-fated trip to Dallas, Texas in 1963.
Valenti was in the motorcade six cars behind the Kennedy's vehicle when the president was assassinated.
