Report: Beckham Staff Arrested For Theft
The housekeepers, who work at the celebrity couple's mansion in England, dubbed Beckingham Palace by the British media, were taken into police custody on Monday (13Oct08).
According to tabloid reports in the U.K., the former Spice Girl's parents, who run the Beckhams' estate in Hertfordshire, became suspicious of their staff after personal items from the Beckhams' home turned up on auctioning website eBay.
The items for sale allegedly include soccer boots worn by L.A. Galaxy ace David, which are emblazoned with his children's names, as well as designer clothing belonging to Victoria.
A spokesman for Hertfordshire's police confirms they arrested a 56-year-old woman and 55-year-old man, before releasing them on bail.
