Rem Announce Details Of UK Summer Stadium Tour

REM have announced details of their upcoming UK summer tour.

The US band will play four major stadiums cross the England and Wales in August this year.

They have confirmed they will play at Lancashire County Cricket Club on August 24th, Cardiff's Millennium Stadium on the 25th, Southampton's Rose Bowl on the 27th and at Twickenham Stadium in London on August 30th.

The band, whose members include Michael Stipe, Peter Buck and Mike Mills, will also play at the Royal Albert Hall before the tour, on March 24th.

In between playing at the Albert Hall and the stadium tour, REM will embark on a full US tour in May and June.

A European tour will then take them to Amsterdam, Dublin and see them headlining T In The Park on Sunday July 13th.

On March 31st the band will release their 14th studio album Accelerate. The new single Supernatural Superserious was released today.

Tickets for the UK stadium gigs will go on sale on Friday.
