Reggae singer Captain Barkey was shot dead in New York on Saturday morning (13Oct12).
The Go Go Wine singer, real name Wayne Hamilton, and a female acquaintance, 38-year-old Tracy Bennett, were gunned down as they were leaving a motel in The Bronx area of the Big Apple.
Detectives investigating the murder are on the hunt for a former lover of Bennett's, according to the New York Daily News.
