Reed Debuts As A Filmmaker With Documentary About Cousin
Rocker LOU REED has made his debut as a documentarian with a new film about his cousin.
The Velvet Underground founder turned the camera on Shirley Novick as she celebrated her 100th birthday.
In the film, Red Shirley, Novick, a retired dressmaker, recounts her long life.
The documentary, which features a soundtrack created by Reed, will premiere at the upcoming Visions du Reel film festival in Switzerland.
