Recovering Sir John 'Very Excited' About Diamond Jubilee Show

Sir Elton John is bouncing back from his hospitalisation last week (ends27May12) and is "very excited" about performing at Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee concert next Monday (04Jun12).

The Rocket Man was admitted to a Los Angeles hospital with a serious respiratory infection on Wednesday (23May12) and was forced to scrap a string of shows in Las Vegas to allow him time to rest.

But Sir Elton is now "feeling much better" as he recovers at his home in England and is looking forward to being part of the glitzy event at Buckingham Palace next week in honour of the British monarch's 60-year reign.

A post on the star's website reads, "Elton is now back at his home in England and is feeling much better following his recent chest infection.

"He is looking forward to playing a series of concerts in the UK and Europe this summer and, of course he is very excited about playing at The Queen's Diamond Jubilee Concert at Buckingham Palace on Monday, June 4."
