Reba Mcentire - Reba Mcentire Still Haunted By Plane Crash Tragedy

Country star Reba Mcentire teared up during an emotional TV show as she spoke about the horrific plane crash which killed her bandmates 21 years ago.
The singer was devastated when seven members of her band and her tour manager were killed when their plane crashed shortly after take-off in San Diego, California on March 16, 1991.
As the 21st anniversary of the tragedy approaches, the singer opened up about the accident in an interview for Oprah Winfrey's TV series Oprah's Master Class, which aired in the U.S. on Sunday (04Mar12).
MCEntire grew emotional as she revealed she is still haunted by the memories of the tragedy and apologised for her tears, saying, "I'm sorry, it's been 20 years... I don't guess (sic) it ever quits hurting... But I just can imagine... all the band we lost, the pilots, their family, I lost friends - they lost family members."
She also remembers the outpouring of love and support from others in the country music industry as she contemplated finishing the tour without her friends: "I thought it was all over, I didn't know how we could get back on stage without the rest of them. I got calls from Vince Gill, he said 'Buddy, I'll be on stage with you, I'll help you,' and Dolly Parton, she said, 'Take my band.'
"It was a huge outpour (sic)... of friends and the community that were there for us. But nobody could replace the ones we loved that we lost. And that is one of the questions I will ask God when I get up there, 'Why did you take them so quick? They had so much more to give'. But we learn, I learned from that situation - don't go a day without telling people you love them."
