Rapper-turned-reality Tv star Ahmad Givens has undergone surgery to have cancerous growths removed from his colon.
Givens, also known as Real from Vh1 show Real Chance of Love, was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer in March (13), and it was later discovered the disease had spread to his lungs and liver as well.
He underwent surgery on Wednesday (18Dec13) to have the tumours removed, but doctors discovered he had been misdiagnosed as the disease was actually rectal cancer.
They also found seven tumours in his liver, according to Tmz.com.
His physicians were able to remove all of the growths, except a small portion in the liver.
Givens will undergo chemotherapy to eliminate the rest.
Real Chance of Love aired for two seasons from 2008 and followed the brothers' appearances on another Vh1 dating show, I Love New York.
Givens also fronts a rap group, The Stallionaires, with his brother, Micah.
