R&B legend CARLTON 'KING' COLEMAN has died at a hospital in Florida, aged 78.
The singer died of heart failure on Saturday (11Sep10).
Coleman enjoyed chart success in the late 1950s and 1960s with hits like (Do The) Mashed Potatoes, Mashed Potato Man and The Boo Boo Song.
After semi-retiring as a performer, Coleman became a Florida DJ. He also landed a small role in the Bad Boys sequel.
Ahead of their upcoming tour, and prior to the release of their long awaited album, Smoke Fairies played a great warm-up gig at Elsewhere in Margate.
