Whitney Houston - Ray J Drama At The Billboard Music Awards

The soul man-turned-reality TV star was just as stunned as Houston's sister-in-law and former manager Pat Houston when he discovered his seat at the ceremony was just behind the family.

But, while he was happy to stay, Houston reportedly insisted he was not welcome in that section of the audience.

U.S. TV and radio presenter Billy Bush claims eight uniformed cops were called to the Mgm Grand Garden Arena to ask Ray J to move, but when the family was told the singer was unwilling to comply and that a physical ejection would create unnecessary drama on a night that featured an emotional tribute to the I Will Always Love You legend, Houston agreed he could stay.

The pre-show drama was overshadowed by the tragic superstar's tribute, performed by Jordin Sparks and John Legend, and Bobbi Kristina's emotional acceptance speech as she stepped onstage to claim her mother's Millennium Award.
