Ratings There Was Super Bowl And Everything Else

It goes without saying that the Super Bowl telecast was the highest-rated show of the week last week. With 106.5 million tuning in, it also attracted the largest number of viewers of any show in history. But it also gave a huge boost to the premiere of CBS's new reality series, Undercover Boss , which followed and was watched by 38.7 million viewers, the greatest number to watch the premiere of a new show after a Super Bowl game. One other Super Bowl record The Doritos commercial in which two men are attacked in a gym for stealing Doritos was watched by 116.2 million viewers, making it the most-viewed TV ad ever. For the week, CBS posted an average 13.0 rating and a 21 share. Fox placed second with a 5.2/8. ABC followed with a 4.4/7, while NBC trailed with a 3.1/5.
