Rascall Flatts star Jay Demarcus and his wife Allison are teaming up for the first time to front their own radio show.
The bassist will host a new hour-long programme, called The Jay DeMarcus Show: Live From Flatts Shack, and his journalist partner will deliver a round-up of the latest entertainment news.
The series will premiere on Clear Channel's iHeartRadio on Thursday (28Jun12) and executive Clay Hunnicutt is excited to welcome the couple aboard, saying, "I've been trying to get Jay in front of a microphone for some time now. His natural ability to hold court - and tell compelling stories in the process - makes him the perfect fit for a format such as this. Each week listeners will be treated to compelling content, and I for one can't wait to hear the show each week."
And the Bless the Broken Road hitmaker, who will also interview special guests, admits he's thrilled to finally branch out from the Grammy-winning group, joking, "I'm very excited for the opportunity to have my own radio show. It's going to be fun to have the forum to discuss whatever I want to, without two other rascals constantly interrupting me!"
