The Hot Boys rapper Turk has been released from prison after serving almost nine years behind bars on weapons charges.
The hip-hop star, real name Tab Virgil Jr., was jailed at Arkansas Federal Prison in 2004 after he was convicted for his part in a shoot-out against members of a Special Weapons And Tactics (S.W.A.T.) team in Tennessee, which left two officers injured.
The rapper walked free from the correctional facility in Forrest City on Friday (12Oct12) in high spirits, according to AllHipHop.com.
