Rick Ross - Rapper Rick Ross Opening Chicken Restaurant
Rapper Rick Ross has become the latest hip-hop star to invest in the food industry - he's opening his own chicken restaurant.
The Aston Martin Music hitmaker first voiced his love for Wingstop on his track MC Hammer and now he has teamed up with franchise bosses to launch his own store in Memphis, Tennessee this autumn (11).
He tells AllHipHop.com, "After tasting Wingstop's signature lemon pepper-flavoured wings in Miami, I knew this was a franchise I wanted to add to my investments."
Ross is planning to open a number of other Wingstop stores after the Tennessee launch.
He follows in the footsteps of fellow rap moguls Jay Z, Sean 'Diddy' Combs, Kanye West and Ludacris in opening his own eatery.
Public Enemy rapper Flavor Flav recently tasted success as a chicken restaurant boss in Iowa, but his venture ended in a messy legal spat after he fell out with his partner.
The hip-hop veteran launched Flav's Fried Chicken in Clinton in January (11) with Nick Cimino, but Flav withdrew his name from the eatery in April (11) after a bust up.
Flavor Flav is now focusing on a new chicken diner venture in Las Vegas.
