Rick Ross - Rapper Rick Ross' Lawsuit Over Dead Dog Dismissed

The star was taken to court by the female owner of a Yorkshire Terrier named Banks, which died after Ross' three pets escaped from his Atlanta, Georgia home and reportedly set upon the three-year-old pooch.

Banks allegedly suffered "three large bite wounds on his back" as well as a "very large bite wound" to his neck and had to be put to sleep because of the severe injuries.

The owner sued for more than $15,000 (£9,375) in damages and court costs, but a judge recently threw the case out of court because the claimant, whose identity has not been revealed, failed to properly serve Ross with the suit.

According to Tmz.com, the woman has vowed to make amends and refile the court papers.

But Ross' manager insists the angry claimant is just an opportunist.

The rep tells Tmz, "We tried to do good business... we paid the vet bill... but it was an unfortunate accident that she (Banks' owner) tried to capitalise off of."
