U.S. rapper Lil Phat has been shot dead at the age of 19 in Atlanta, Georgia.
The body of the musician, real name Melvin Vernell Iii, was found on Thursday (07Jun12) in a parked car near Northside Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, reports GossipCop.com.
He had suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
A motive for the killing is unknown and police are searching for two men who were seen running from the scene.
Lil Phat was previously signed to record label Trill Entertainment, which also once had Soulja Boy on its roster.
