Big Sean - Rapper Big Sean Returning To School For Stint As Guest Principal
Rapper Big Sean is ditching his microphone to turn headmaster for the day as part of an educational campaign to keep kids in school.
The Dance (A$$) hitmaker will head to Lincoln High School in his native Michigan on Monday (14May12) to show off his teaching skills in class and host an assembly as part of an initiative set up by the Get Schooled Foundation.
The hip-hop star says, "Showing up to school, all day, every day, is one of the most important things students can do to reach their educational goals and to go on to success later in life.
"I am so proud of my hometown of Detroit for tackling attendance issues head on and I am so excited to celebrate the achievements of the students who worked so hard throughout the attendance challenge."
Big Sean has previously joined in the Get School Foundation's Wake Up campaign, which aimed to boost graduation rates among high school kids by arranging for them to receive daily alarm calls from their favourite celebrities.
R&B singer Ne-Yo also swapped the recording studio for the classroom in February (12) when he served as the guest principal of a school in Seattle, Washington.
