Randy And Evi Quaid Detained In Canada
The pair became wanted criminals after failing to show up for an arraignment hearing in a Santa Barbara courthouse on Monday (18Oct10). The court date stemmed from their arrest in September (10), when they were busted for felony vandalism for allegedly squatting in a Montecito home they once owned.
TV bounty hunter Duane 'Dog' Chapman issued a public ultimatum to the Quaids during an appearance on late night talk show Lopez Tonight on Thursday (21Oct10), calling for the couple to surrender to police or face capture by the tough guy.
But according to TMZ.com, the TV ultimatum was not necessary - cops apprehended the pair in British Columbia earlier that day (21Oct10).
The Quaids were expected to appear before a judge at a detention hearing in Vancouver on Friday afternoon (22Oct10).
They are due back in court in Santa Barbara on 26 October (10).
