Legendary pianists Ramsey Lewis and Ahmad Jamal are to be honoured for their contributions to jazz music at an awards ceremony in the U.K. later this month (Jan13).

Jamal, whose style influenced Miles Davis, will be presented with a lifetime achievement trophy at the Jazz FM Awards in London before performing a 20-minute set for guests.

Triple Grammy winner Lewis will collect the Gold Award for Outstanding Contribution to Jazz and will also perform at the ceremony.

The awards take place on 31 January (13).
