Ralph Macchio - Ralph Macchio Misses Out On Dancing Final As Alley Gets Through

MACchio surprised fans by surviving the competition last week (end15May11) after suffering from a ruptured cyst in his knee and receiving the lowest score from the judges.

Rapper/actor Romeo left the show instead - but on Tuesday (17May11) MACchio was finally sent home, just a week before the grand finale.

Speaking after the results, MACchio said, "I will never forget how the fans have driven us through every week. (Dance partner Karina Smirnoff) inspired me in so many ways with your heart, your talent, your class and your integrity."

MACchio's departure leaves actress Alley to battle it out with Disney star Chelsea Kane and sportsman Hines Ward when they take to the floor for the last time next week.

And the Cheers star is hoping for triumph: "I've been nominated for nine Emmys and I've won two. And nothing feels like 'And the winner is... Kirstie Alley!'"
