Radcliffe To Shock Fans With War Role
HARRY POTTER actor DANIEL RADCLIFFE is set to surprise fans with his latest gritty role - as a World War One soldier fighting in the trenches in France. The 17-year-old is starring as young soldier JACK KIPLING in upcoming British TV drama MY BOY JACK. The real-life character was killed in action at the Battle Of Loos in 1915 and was the son of THE JUNGLE BOOK writer RUDYARD KIPLING. Radcliffe says, "I'm fascinated by the First World War. It's important we try to imagine the horrors those young men experienced. "Young men are still going off to fight in wars from which many will never return."
