R&B star R. Kelly is settling his debts with U.S. tax authorities and is confident his "obligations will be satisfied", according to a representative.
The singer is accused of falling behind with his federal income taxes and has been hit with bills amounting to $4.8 million (£3 million) from officials at the Internal Revenue Service.
The I Believe I Can Fly hitmaker is now attempting to work out a payment plan to resolve the debt, which dates back to 2005.
A spokesperson for Kelly tells Tmz.com, "R. Kelly is in the process of working everything out with the government and is confident that all his obligations will be satisfied."
