Quinn Gets To Number One His Own Way

Defeated X Factor finalist Ray Quinn has today seen his debut album Doing it my Way top the UK charts.

The 18-year-old, who lost out to Leona Lewis in the ITV1 talent show last year, outsold Take That's Beautiful World, which moves up one to two, as well as Picture of You by fellow X Factor contestant Ben Mills.

In the singles chart, Comic Relief effort Walk This Way by the Sugababes versus Girls Aloud is a new entry at one, while fellow charity hit (I'm Gonna Be) 500 Miles by the Proclaimers featuring Peter Key as Brian Potter and Matt Lucas as Andy Pipkin is two behind.

The Sweet Escape by Gwen Stefani and Akon is a non-mover at two meanwhile, with last week's number one, Take That's Shine, pushed back to four.

Ruby, the first single from Kaiser Chiefs' new album Yours Truly Angry Mob drops three places to six, the same place that said album occupies in its respective chart.
