Queens Of The Stone Age To Kick A*s
Queens Of The Stone Age said the band has no reason to be at Reading other than to "kick a*s".
The 'Sick, Sick, Sick' group's lead guitarist and frontman, Josh Homme, said he's looking forward to the rock band's fifth appearance at the British festival and being able to play whatever they want.
He told NME magazine: "What I love about this one is we have nothing to promote, no reason to be there. We're just there to kick a*s!
"I want to get everybody dancing! We just want to give it to them.
"It's kind of like reuniting with an old flame, you know, in your old town. So frankly, it's like going home again and having a nice sh*g."
Asked what he could remember about the band's previous performances at the festival - which were in
2000, 2001, 2005 and 2008- Josh simply replied: "I have memories of nudity and fire."
He also said that after the band has completed this year's round of festivals, they will head back to the studio.
Josh added: "We're going to make a new record, I'm looking forward to it. We're already sharing the goodies with each other, it feels like a brand new band."
