Queen Remember Mercury With World Aids Day Release
Rockers QUEEN will pay a special tribute to former frontman FREDDIE MERCURY by releasing their new single on World Aids Day (01Dec07). Say It's Not True is the group's first studio collaboration with new singer Paul Rodgers. It will be available as a free download from Saturday (10Dec07) on the band's website. Mercury died of AIDS complications in 1991, and his former bandmates hope their new single will help spread awareness about the killer disease, which claimed their pal. Drummer Roger Taylor says, "No one is safe from infection. We have to be aware, we have to protect ourselves and those we love." Meanwhile, Queen and former Free frontman Rodgers are working on an album of new material, which is scheduled for a 2008 release.
