Pulp - Pulp Mark Morrison Anniversary At Wireless Show

British rockers Pulp paid tribute to late The Doors star Jim Morrison during a festival gig on the 40th anniversary of the rocker's death.
The singer passed way in Paris, France on 3 July, 1971, and 40 years on, Pulp frontman Jarvis Cocker remembered the music legend during the band's set at London's Wireless festival on Sunday (03Jul11).
Cocker namechecked Morrison before launching into a rendition of the band's hit Pink Glove, according to Nme.com.
The rockers announced their comeback last year (10) and returned to the stage this summer (11) for a number of shows, but Cocker called the new-found reunion into question at the end of their Wireless set by hinting it will be another 15 years before they get back together again after the current run of gigs finishes.
After playing the closing song, Common People, Cocker told the crowd as he left the stage, "Christmas just came early. See you all again... in about 15 years probably."
The band will play at Britain's Reading and Leeds festivals next month (Aug11), followed by a gig at the O2 Academy Brixton in London on 31 August (11).
