Pudsey The Dog Exhausted After 'Britain's Got Talent' Success

Pudsey the dog may have secured a Britain's Got Talent win (and a hefty pay cheque) for himself and his owner, Ashleigh, but all the excitement is getting to him now and the poor pooch is in need of a rest. According to today's report from The Mirror, all of the extra cuddles that Pudsey's been getting are tiring him out. "He is a bit tired at the moment, so I think he needs just a good couple of days' rest. But he is brilliant."

He's certainly not averse to all of the attention though, as Ashleigh told the paper "He is loving it. The more attention he gets, the more he loves it." And she'll be loving that half-a-million pound pay-out no doubt. Ashleigh had previously said that she was thinking of setting up an agency for supplying animals to film studios. Today, though, she had more small-scale plans, explaining that in all the excitement, little Pudsey had mislaid his lead backstage. "I mean first of all we did lose his lead backstage," she revealed. "He had a really nice black sparkly lead, and yeah we lost it backstage. So he needs a new lead."

Despite being tipped as the nation's favourite, last week, Ashleigh insists that she was shocked when they were announced as the winner. "I am overwhelmed by the support. Our goal was just to get into the final and when we were the last two, with Jonathan and Charlotte, I honestly thought they had won it. I was preparing myself to jump on them and congratulate them. So it was a complete shock."
