Protests Planned Ahead Of Incubus Gig In Philippines
The group is set to perform a set at the Araneta Coliseum on 28 July (11) however a viral text message recently distributed to Filipino citizens across the Asian country has rocked the band and put their show in jeopardy.
The message reads, "PRayer Alert !! A rock band called Incubus s (is) comin 2perform at d Araneta Coliseum on July 28. We mUst pRay this group dUZnt (doesn't) even step on2 (onto) Philippine soil so that they dOnt impart their spirits in2 (into) our youth!!"
According to local network Abs-cbn News, the religious advocates are also claiming the band's name, Incubus, literally means "a male demon" or someone "who depresses or worries others”.
The rockers previously visited the country in 2004 and 2008 - without disruption.
