Promoter Kidnapped In Angola After Nas' New Year's Eve No-show
Nas and his opening act Jemiah Jai were due to perform at a party hosted by Henrique Miguel and they were paid $315,000 (Gbp196,875) for the heavily-promoted gigs, but when both stars missed their flights to Angola, and the show was scrapped, AllGood Entertainment CEO Allocco and his son were allegedly snatched at gunpoint and interrogated for nearly seven hours.
Officials at a local U.S. Embassy stepped in to aid in the safe release of the pair and the two are now "in residence" at a nearby hotel until both parties can come to a financial agreement, reports Tmz.com.
Allocco has since released a statement through his handlers, which reads, "The hope is that Nas and Jemiah Jai will return all of the monies that were wired to them immediately so that our ransom may be paid and our safe return to the United States may be facilitated."
