Rapper Professor Green is being investigated over an alleged hit and run involving a pensioner. Albert Stanford, 67, told police that Green reversed a Mercedes into his Vauxhall Vectra, causing £800 worth of damage, according to The Sun.

Stanford says he was unable to get the hip-hop star’s insurance details, though was certain it was Green - real name Stephen Manderson, whose nan lives nearby in Woodford Green, North East London. “It made a loud smash…But by the time I got my dressing gown on and went down, they had driven off,” he said. Stanford rang Professor’s Green’s nan, then the singer himself phoned though they were unable to sort out the collision. The singer said his loan car was undamaged — something confirmed by Mercedes-Benz — adding: “The matter is being looked into.” A Met Police spokesman said: “This is being treated as a fail-to-stop collision.”

Professor Green, who is currently dating Made in Chelsea star Millie Mackintosh, slammed someone for a similar hit and run incident last month, telling Twitter followers, “Big up who ever crashed into my car while it was parked and sped off. My neighbour got your details b***h!”
